Francis is a geologist and senior industry executive with over 35 years of diverse experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry; having worked for private, state and several of the large IOCs and service companies. He is a proven Oil-finder with a wealth of experience in reservoir management, operations, project management, exploration, basin evaluation, play generation, risk assessment and economic evaluation.
Mr. Inniss started his career in 1987 with Exlog S.A (now Baker Hughes); then moving to the state oil company of Trinidad and Tobago in 1993 where he provided geological expertise on onshore field development and operations, and later as Exploration Manager with responsibility for field development and exploration of the giant Soldado Field Complex offshore Trinidad’s southwestern coast.
Over the past 20 years, he has held several senior technical and leadership roles with increasing responsibility within the Upstream sector beginning in 2004 with Hardman Resources as Exploration Manager for Trinidad and the Caribbean Area, and later in 2007 as Exploration Manager at Tullow Oil.
In 2013 he relocated to the USA to work at PanAtlantic Exploration Company where he was the Technical Lead for the company’s portfolio of deep-water assets along the West African Atlantic Margin (Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea).
In 2017, he was appointed Subsurface Director at EcoAtlantic Oil and Gas Ghana Limited where he conducted the technical and economic evaluation of the company’s portfolio of deep-water prospects in the prolific Tano Basin offshore Ghana. During that time, he was also the Subsurface Advisor to Atlas Oranto Petroleum where he provided technical advice and managed the company’s vast African portfolio of assets (Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Equatorial Guinea, Senegal, Uganda and Namibia) and added significant value with respect to identifying the hydrocarbon potential of these assets.
Mr. Inniss holds a BSc degree in Geology from the University of the West Indies (Jamaica) and an MBA in Project Management from Henley Management College, UK. He has authored and co-authored several technical publications and is a member of the AAPG, HGS and GSTT, and PESGB.
